Itinerario Escursionable

Escursionable Regional Hiking Itinerary

In Balme, in the Alta Val d’Ala area, you will find the ESCURSIONABLE itinerary (ESA), so named because it was designed to be accessible to everyone, particularly people with reduced mobility or visual impairments. The entire route offers the opportunity to fully experience the natural alpine environment, with breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and mountain walls. It is also equipped with interactive installations that stimulate the senses (sight, hearing and touch). The itinerary can also be travelled using a joelette, a special all-terrain wheelchair suitable for people with any type of motor disability.

Itinerario ai Ciciu del Villar

Accessible Ciciu del Villar

In the heart of the Ciciu del Villar Natural Reserve in San Costanzo, visitors can find three information panels featuring tactile images and NFC technology, which enables wireless communication between two devices. This allows users with visual impairments to access multimedia content and explore further insights into the geology of the Ciciu formations, as well as historical and artistic information about the Church of San Costanzo al Monte and the former Abbey of San Pietro in Vincoli, two buildings that are part of the cultural heritage of the Municipality of Villar San Costanzo.

The same panels also feature QR codes that link to video content with LIS and IS support, making them accessible to users with hearing impairments.
